Consistently exceed business development goals through the conversion of company-purchased leads, existing client conversions, and cold calling-generated leads by differentiating LBA's commercial HVAC-R and plumbing services in a competitive, fast-paced and dynamic market


Achieve Results

  1. Schedule and complete business development appointments every week
  2. Create and distribute planned maintenance proposals
  3. Manage and close planned maintenance proposals
  4. Identify and develop business contacts to contribute project sales each month

Operating Standards

  1. Manage the business development cycle for all leads by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in our Customer Relationship Management software
  2. Create professional, compelling, and persuasive presentations for prospective clients
  3. Ability to articulate business development activity during monthly meetings and 1:1s
  4. Gather technical information from potential client HVAC systems to build planned maintenance proposals
  5. Utilize company cost models to build competitive planned maintenance pricing
  6. Attend minimum weekly networking events and business lunches to increase leads and enhance LBA's brand awareness
  7. Leverage virtual and real-world business contacts to cold call or connect with potential clients within LBA's target markets

Relationship Management

  1. Ensure the development and cultivation of favorable working relationships with all clients and members of the LBA organization
  2. Contribute positively to the company's work culture through a positive, enthusiastic, high energy and team-based approach to achieving success

Stewardship/ Company Representation

  1. Understand the Company's/Division's vision, mission, values, goals, strategies and action plans
  2. Communicate the Company's/Division's values, products, and services
  3. Build internal commitment to the Company's/Business Unit's values, goals, and objectives through the effective support of team member success


Strategic Responsibilities:

  1. Execute business development activity to support the growth of the division's recurring revenue and project-based revenue
  2. Deliver a consultative selling approach that distinguishes LBA as the value leader in the HVAC and plumbing industry
  3. Act as a client advocate and utilize appropriate internal resources to resolve client escalations
  4. Ensure internal resources receive accurate, timely and thorough communication to hand-off the management of the client experience to internal resources

Account Management Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the accuracy of client account data such as contact information and contract records

Sales & Marketing Responsibilities:

  1. Create professional, compelling, and persuasive business development proposals
  2. Promote our products and services to new and existing clients
  3. Communicate client developments timely and effectively to account relationship owner



  1. Demonstrated business development success in the HVAC and plumbing market, preferably in the commercial segment
  2. Demonstrated success and experience working in a high energy, medium-to-large employee environment
  3. Demonstrated ability to sell at all levels of an organization from maintenance supervisor to C-suite
  4. Demonstrated growth focus and self-starter mentality
  5. Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced and professional sales environment
  6. Demonstrated success with Customer Relationship Management platforms required with experience on Salesforce or ProsperWorks preferred
  7. Prior experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google equivalent


High School graduate required.  College degree/trade school, or equivalent experience preferred.


  1. Ability to network with strangers with a high level of comfort
  2. Ability to enter data into various computer systems
  3. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a periodic basis
  4. Clean driving record to utilize company vehicles at needed
  5. Ability to safety utilize company-provided ladders and a general comfort with heights
  6. Utilize all office equipment, telephones, fax machines, computers on a regular basis
